WATCH: New Hulu ‘Animaniacs’ reboot trailer pokes fun at Hollywood’s use of reboots

With all the reboots and revivals that have come out over the last few years, it’s not surprising some people have become a bit fatigued with all the nostalgia.

Now, one show is letting fans know they are getting sick of it too, even though they are themselves a rebooted classic.

The meta trailer for the upcoming "Animaniacs" reboot was released this week, and in it they make fun of Hollywood’s use of reboots.

In the trailer, characters Yakko, Wakko and Dot discuss the over use of reboots and revivals, before showing fans a glimpse of all the fan favorites up to their usual zany antics with a modern day back drop.

The upcoming revival is set to hit Hulu after the streaming service ordered two seasons of the beloved animation in 2018, reports CBR.

“The siblings waste no time in causing chaos and comic confusion as they run loose through the studio, turning the world into their personal playground,” claims a statement on the reboot.

The first season of the "Animaniacs" reboot is set to premiere on Hulu November 20, with the second season coming in 2021. Based on the trailer fans should expect plenty of Meta humor, and some jokes aimed at themselves.
