Beyoncé and Taylor Swift Added to YouTube Commencement Special

Celebrate the class of 2020 on June 6th

Although they can’t be had in person, celebrities from around the world want to make sure the class of 2020 has a grand celebration.

YouTube unveiled the remainder of the Dear Class of 2020 lineup with an impressive list of celebrity additions.

The event is headlined with a commencement address given by President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama and features a star-studded list of previously announced speakers such as BTS, Lady Gaga, and more.

Beyoncé and Taylor Swift are among the artists added to this year's event. According to YouTube, Beyoncé will be delivering an “inspirational message” to the 2020 seniors.

In addition to Beyoncé and Swift, new additions to the event include Jennifer Lopez, Demi Lovato, Janelle Monáe, Kevin Durant, Finneas, Bill and Melinda Gates, Ciara and Russell Wilson, Andy Cohen, and many more.

There will also be plenty of musical performances during the livestream with Lizzo, Camila Cabello, Chloe x Halle, and Maluma set to take the virtual stage. After the traditional graduation cap-toss, YouTube will continue the celebration with a grad-night party headlined by BTS and featuring performances from CNCO, Doja Cat, and Megan Thee Stallion.

In an Instagram post, President Obama wrote “I’ve always loved joining commencements – the culmination of years of hard work and sacrifice.”

“Even if we can’t get together in person this year, Michelle and I are excited to celebrate the nationwide Class of 2020 and recognize this milestone with you and your loved ones,” he added.

Dear Class of 2020 takes place Saturday, June 6th at 3 PM ET on the YouTube Originals Channel or on Youtube’s Learn@Home website.
