'Stranger Things' Star Gaten Matarazzo Is Working a Summer Restaurant Job

August 16, 2020

While production of "Stranger Things 4" is on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, star Gaten Matarazzo has come up with a summer gig to fill his free time.

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed with Matarazzo's rep that the "Stranger Things" actor has taken up a job running food at a Long Beach Island restaurant where a few of his family members are employed.

The New Jersey native has been recognized by fans despite wearing a hat and face mask while on the job. 64 million people watched season three of the popular Netflix series, and eagle-eyed frequenters of the eatery have seen through the guise.

In July, speculation surfaced around when the hit TV series would resume filming so fans could get a taste of the ongoings in Hawkins, Indiana. At the time, a September 17th start date was predicted.

Production of the show was suspended in March of this year.

Show creators Matt and Ross Duffer already know how the series is going to pan out, revealing recently that they've "known the ending for a while."

"The honest truth is we didn’t know if it would go beyond season 1, so we like the idea of season 1 that it could function basically as its own standalone piece, like almost as a limited series, but it had the potential to go beyond that," they told Deadline in July.

"And if it were to go beyond that, we had an idea of where it would go. Yeah, and we have an ending in mind," they continued.

The third season of the series dropped on July 4, 2019 - over a year ago.
