Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell are still going strong with their 37-year romance both onscreen and off.

While promoting their next gig in Netflix’s “The Christmas Chronicles 2,” the couple sat down to talk about their relationship with CBS Sunday Morning.

The lovebirds revealed that they first met during the Disney musical filming “The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band” in 1968. While meeting for the first time, both Russell and Hawn revealed that it wasn’t love at first sight.

Hawn even said that Russell wasn't really her type from an age standpoint. "I think for me, I mean, he was way too young for me," Hawn said. "I was like, dating older guys, right? I was what, 20?"

Russell chimed in, "I was only 15 years old. I didn't even have a car. I didn't have a license."

However, things took a turn when the pair was signed on for the movie “Swing Shift,” which began filming in 1983. At that time, both were divorced with kids and would soon fall in love with each other.

“Matter of fact, when I met Goldie, I was at a time in my life, and a period in my life, when I was going to put my worst foot forward when it came to any kind of a relationship with the possibility of a relationship,” Russell said. “I put my worst foot forward. If you can handle that, then maybe there’s a chance of some reality there of being together.”

“You put your worst foot forward? I could hardly say that,” Hawn shot back. “I would say, if you’d done that with me, I wouldn’t be here today.”

The actor shared that when he first met Hawn, he was hungover. His partner jokingly said that Russell was fun.

Over the years, the couple shared that there have been breakup rumors about their relationship.

“I’m so glad I got through whatever period that was,” Hawn said. “Relationships go through periods, sometimes really hard times.”

Both Hawn and Russell agreed that their family keeps them strong and is worth everything.
