It may be a new year but, Gwen Stefani is here to remind us of her roots in her new music video for “Let Me Reintroduce Myself,” and she’s pulling out all the iconic looks to do so.

Listen to your favorite Pop music now on RADIO.COM.

But don’t get it twisted, this is anything but a comeback. Gwen is still the “original me.” The No Doubt frontwoman is still mixing up those “homegrown ingredients” to give us new energy as we forge on into 2021. As she reminds us, she already gave us “bananas” and now she’s giving us a 2.0 version of the woman behind “Hollaback Girl.”

As we delve into the new world of Stefani, the singer unfolds a swath of different looks that remind the viewer of how she’s been killing it since day one and become a fashion icon along the way.

From Harajuku girls pumping out hand sanitizer to Gwen rocking a mask with her signature No Doubt dickies we are here to point out some of the most important details from the looks Gwen dons in the music video.

First, we’d like to start with blue-haired 90s Stefani. Clad in face rhinestones, a fuzzy baby blue bikini top, and baby blue hair to match, this was the look that Gwen wore as she arrived at the MTV Video Music Awards all of 23 years ago. The singer recreates the look flawlessly and has us wondering if it’s really 2021 or 1998?

As we see Gwen’s many eras displayed across a Zoom format, as a not so subtle nod to how things have changed in 2020, the next look we’re “zooming” in on is her legendary “Hollaback Girl” streetwear. Right down to the super cropped rhinestone tank top and belt buckle that reads “BANANAS,” Stefani really reminded us that “it ain’t no Hollaback girl.” She even brought in the marching band to take the look to its full 2009 extent.

And finally, we have to discuss Gwen’s “Rich Girl” look which perfectly emerges from the beautiful chaos that past Gwens are creating on the set of the “Let Me Reintroduce Myself” shoot. Deep in the era of “Harajuku Girls” Gwen serves us the same floral decked out wig that she wears in her music video for “Rich Girl,” which leaves us humming, “Na, na, na, na,” and saying to ourselves, “see, I'd have all the money in the world, if I was a wealthy girl.”

Dare we say that the "Let Me Reintroduce Myself" nostalgic trip down memory lane was somewhat of a "Sweet Escape" from the realities of modern-day?
