Halsey Surprised 'We Can Survive' and Sang Taylor Swift

A special guest appearance with a lot of love for ‘Lover’

October 21, 2019

This weekend’s We Can Survive was packed with the biggest artists in music, with Taylor Swift, Camila Cabello, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, and more all taking the stage at the Hollywood Bowl. They were all amazing and we’re still recovering, but we knew they would be there. What we didn’t know was that Halsey would drop in for a surprise set, and some extra love for the night’s headliner.

The singer rocked the sold out crowd with “Bad At Love,” her number one hit “Without Me,” and her new single “Graveyard,” but it’s a few bars of someone else’s song that has people buzzing.

While promoting that Taylor Swift was still set to take the stage, Halsey offered major praise for the singer’s latest album, Lover. “I've got to be honest with you guys, the whole new album is my shower music,” she confessed as the crowd exploded. “It’s really insane. I think that my assistant has like 100 videos from outside the door where I’m in the shower just like, 'You’re my, my, my, my lover.' It’s so good."

"She’s definitely an artist that I would absolutely love to collaborate with at some point," Halsey added.

Wait, can we will that into existence? Is there space left on Manic?

The 7th annual We Can Survive was a huge success thanks to a list of amazing artists and thousands of amazing fans. In total, the event raised over 135,000 dollars for the American Cancer Society. You can check out all of our coverage from We Can Survive here.
