MAX is back with another hit-ready song for the summer. The “Love Me Less” singer has continued to prove why Billboard named him their No. 1 Pop artist to watch, with unmatched sincerity sprinkled throughout intoxicating jams.

An era colored by his now signature golden yellow spreads positivity with one look. Aside from delivering striking visuals, MAX has honed in on his style with a mix of soul, funk, and pop.

His new song “Acid Dreams” matches the themes of double-platinum hit “Lights Down Low” while showing a different side of love. While MAX admitted he’s never experienced an acid trip, collaborator Felly presented the idea and helped shape the song with the line.

“I love that it’s something that I don’t know. Because I feel like sometimes when you really fall in love with somebody, you’re kind of afraid of it because it’s uncharted territory,” MAX tells Soundazed.

A soaring brass section shines in his latest release as atmospheric bass sends listeners on their own trip. Party Pupils partner Ryan Siegel produced the entire track before the two decided it fit better as a solo single.

MAX is expected to drop his sophomore album soon. With sold-out Intimate AF Tour shows popping up across the country, the singer is continuing to prioritize fans while getting well-deserved recognition. Listen to the new song in the video above.
