Why Prince William Is 'Worried' About Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

October 22, 2019

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s revelations in their new television interview has definitely gotten the attention of the royal family.

Prince William is reportedly “worried” for his younger brother and sister-in-law after they disclosed how the constant media scrutiny has taken a toll on them in the new documentary “Harry & Meghan: An African Journey,” reported People.

A palace source added there is speculation that Harry and Meghan are currently “in a fragile place.”

In the documentary, which aired in the UK over the weekend, Meghan expressed her “struggles” trying to raise five-month-old son Archie under the watchful eye of the world press.

While Harry discussed the state of his own mental health under the spotlight by saying it involves “constant management.”

“I thought I was out of the woods and then suddenly it all came back and I suddenly realized, ‘Actually this is something that I have to manage.,’” the 35-year-old told ITV’s Tom Bradby.

Without getting too specific, Harry also touched on his rumored rift with Prince William.

“Inevitably stuff happens. But we’re brothers, we’ll always be brothers,” he said.

“We’re certainly on different paths at the moment. I’ll always be there for him and as I know, he’ll always be there for me. We don’t see each other as much as we used to because we’re so busy but I love him dearly.”

He seemingly addressed the negative headlines by adding, “The majority of stuff is created out of nothing. As brothers, we have good days and we have bad days.”

The documentary was filmed during the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s recent royal tour of Africa and was reportedly “made without consultation with senior courtiers, the queen, [Prince] Charles or Prince William.” That sounds like a storyline straight out of “The Crown!”

American audiences can see it for themselves when “Harry & Meghan: An African Journey” airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
