Swift shared an image with the subtitle of the dialogue in question that read “What do you care? You go through men faster than Taylor Swift.”

“Hey Ginny & Georgia,” Swift wrote on Twitter. “2010 called and it wants its lazy, deeply sexist joke back. How about we stop degrading hard working women by defining this horse s*** as FuNnY. Also, @netflix after Miss Americana this outfit doesn’t look cute on you. Happy Women’s History Month I guess.”

The scene comes from the final episode of the show’s first season as Ginny Miller (Antonia Gentry) and her mother Georgia (Brianne Howey) are arguing about her relationships. After Georgia assumes Ginny had broken up with her boyfriend Hunter, Ginny replies with the line in question.

Immediately, Swifties took to social media to call out the show and Netflix over the remark. “I was gonna watch Ginny and Georgia but not anymore. Even after the reputation tour doc, and the Miss Americana doc this bull is still happening. RESPECT TAYLOR SWIFT,” one user wrote.

“I was really enjoying Ginny & Georgia until they had to add the really inappropriate Taylor Swift jab from a character that is supposed to be a feminist. #ginnyandgeorgia,” another added.

Swift addressed her relationship with Joe Alwyn and the stresses public life creates in it during a recent conversation with Paul McCartney.

"I think that in knowing him and being in the relationship I am in now, I have definitely made decisions that have made my life feel more like a real life and less like just a storyline to be commented on in tabloids,” Swift said.
