'13 Reasons Why' Renewed for Second Season

Netflix has renewed 13 Reasons Why for a second season. Selena Gomez, who was one of the series' producers, made the announcement on Instagram this weekend (May 7). 

The series' was based on Jay Asher's 2007 novel of the same title.

The show's first season was released on March 31.  It has started a nationwide dialogue about teen suicide. The book had no sequel, but the show's producers insist that there is more of Hannah Baker's story to tell.

Their story isn't over. Season 2 of #13ReasonsWhy is coming.

The second season is expected to premiere on Netflix sometime next year.
