On top of the three Star Wars anthology films and on top of the new chronological trilogy, Disney has announced another three Star Wars movies will be coming from director Rian Johnson, who happened to be at the helm for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which hits theaters December 15.

No timeline as to when we can expect the new films, but the new trilogy is expected to be completely separate from the Skywalker storyline, meaning we shouldn't expect Episodes X, XI, and XII but instead be looking out for a completely new story from "a corner of the galaxy that Star Wars lore has never before explored."

The new movies will bring the total count of movies both planned and released to 15, including Rogue One, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and the unnamed third standalone film.

My hope is a cinematic venture into The Old Republic and Darth Revan, but we'll see.

What do you think about three more Star Wars movies?
