September 6, 2018

Dolores O’ Riordon singer for the Cranberries drowned in the bathtub after drinking according to an inquest on Thursday.

Reportedly the 46-year-old singer didn't leave a suicide note and there was no evidence of self-harm. At the inquest, held at Westminster Coroners Court, a police officer testified that O'Riordan was found submerged in her London hotel bathroom wearing pajamas on the morning of January 15.

The Coroner ruled that O' Riordon died from drowning as a result of alcohol intoxication. Her blood alcohol levels were four times the legal limit for driving and prescription medication were found.
