I'm Listening; End the Stigma of Talking About Mental Health

I'm Listening ; Join the Conversation

September 5, 2017

Join us in ending the stigma of talking about mental health. On Sunday morning, September 10, World Suicide Prevention Day, tune in for our two-hour, commercial-free broadcast of I'm Listening, featuring personal stories from names you know, including Metallica, Logic, Halsey, Gary Allan, David Draiman, Sarah BarthelJack Antonoff, LeRoy Butler, and many more. We'll also open up our phone lines during the show so you can share your stories. By taking some time to talk about mental health now, we believe we can spread a lasting message of hope for anyone feeling hopeless.

The conversation will be led by BJ Shea from KISW-FM in Seattle with guidance and resources from Christine Moutier, M.D., Chief Medical Officer of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention; Dr. Ursula Whiteside, clinical psychologist, CEO of NowMattersNow.org; and Dr. Pavan Somusetty, Psychiatrist and Assistant Chief of Mental Health for Kaiser Permanente Northwest.

We’ll be publishing the phone number to the studio line live on on ImListening.org during Sunday’s broadcast, so you can call and share how mental health and suicide has impacted you. You can also tweet to us: @imlistening_org using #ImListening.
