'Facts of Life' Star Mindy Cohn Reveals She Had a Five Year Battle with Breast Cancer

October 18, 2017

Mindy Cohn, who is best known for her role as Natalie Green in the 1980s sitcom Facts of Life, just revealed that she has privately battled breast cancer for the past five years. The revelations came in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE magazine.

The actress, who is now 51, told the magazine that she was dealing with a bout of extreme exhaustion in 2012. A trip to the doctor’s office revealed she had breast cancer. She told the magazine that the cancer kept “spreading and coming back.”

Cohn ultimately underwent a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation as part of her treatment. She revealed that she spent a lot of time recovering on a farm in upstate New York. That property is owned by her good friends Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Dr. Brent Ridge. The pair are best known for their reality show, The Fabulous Beekman Boys.
