It has been 25 years since the McAllister family "did it again," as they became separated from their youngest child during the holiday season.

Yes, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York opened in theaters on this day (November 20) 25 years ago:

Macaulay Culkin reprised his role as Kevin McCallister in the movie. Plus, much of Home Alone's original cast (including Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, John Heard and Catherine O'Hara) also returned for the sequel.

Home Alone 2: Lost In New York, of course, is the sequel to the 1990 hit movie, Home Alone. In the movie's sequel, Kevin McCallister gets lost in New York City. Let's ignore the question of: how did he get seperated from his family while traveling for the holidays again? Of course, it's even more strange that he ran into the Wet Bandits again. Yes, they go by the name "Sticky Bandits" now.

So we were wondering: would Harry and Marv have survived Kevin's onslaught of attacks? Luckily, Distractify actually asked some experts to weigh in on that VERY question:

After watching that, however, we suddenly realized how violent the movie actually was!

Happy Holidays & Happy Anniversary, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
