A lot has happened to our world in the past ten years, and apparently that means an iconic pop song may have sounded different if it was released today.

Katy Perry revealed to Glamour that she would rework some of the lyrics to "I Kissed a Girl" if she released the song now. "I Kissed a Girl" was released in 2008.

"We've really changed, conversationally, in the past 10 years," she told the publication. "We've come a long way."

She goes on to explain that the song had a few "stereotypes" in it about sexuality.

"Your mind changes so much in 10 years, and you grow so much. What's true for you can evolve," Perry explained to Glamour.

For the interview, Katy also watched a series of videos that fans had posted covering her tunes.
