Kesha is back, and her new album, which is titled Rainbow, makes a statement about the new person that she has become.

Kesha already blew fans away when she released Rainbow's first single, which is titled "Praying." In fact, the entire album has a different sound than we've really heard from Kesha before. It has some pop tracks, but it also has powerful ballads on tracks like "Praying" and "Rainbow."  By the way, Kesha's vocals throughout the entire album are nothing short of amazing.

The "Tik Tok" singer has been engaged in a legal battle with music producer Dr. Luke for several years. So Rainbow is her first album since 2012's release of Warrior.

Kesha has been sharing incredibly personal tales about her return to music in interviews. In a personal essay shared on Refinery 29 today, Kesha wrote about the effect music had on her while she was in a rehabilitation center.

In fact, a lot of the music on the Rainbow album was created during her rehab stay. The singer credits the creation of this album with saving her life. She said that working on the album was what got her out bed each and every day for a while.

The "Tik Tok" singer went on to share that the album's title track ("Rainbow") represents how she feels about her life. She called it a "letter of encouragement" to herself even as she says she changed her cynical self-deprecating attitude to one of encouragement and postivity towards herself.

Kesha will hit the road this fall on a her Rainbow Tour across North America.
