Performers Announced for the Academy Awards

The biggest night for films and movies will also be a big night for music. The singers of five Oscar-nominated songs will be performing live during the Academy Awards next weekend (March 4).

The performers will include: Mary J. Blige, Common, Andra Day, Gael Garcia Bernal, Miguel, Natalia Lafourcade, Keala Settle and Sufjan Stevens. Each performance will celebrate a track that has been nominated for Original Song during this year's ceremony.

Mary J. Blige will perform the song "Mighty River" from the movie Mudbound. Blige co-wrote the song with Raphael Saadiq and Taura Stinson. Mary is also nominated for in the category of Best Supporting actress for her role in the film.

Gael Garcia Bernal, Natalia Lafourcade, and Miguel will perform the song “Remember Me” from the Pixar film Coco

Common and Andra Day will perform the track "Stand Up For Something" form Marshall. Common won an Oscar with John Legend for the Original Song from Selma in 2015, which was titled "Selma."

Keala Settle will perform the hit track "This Is Me" from the hit musical movie The Greatest Showman.

Sufjan Stevens will perform "Mystery of Love," which he wrote and performed for the Oscar-nominated film Call Me By Your Name.

The 90th Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 4. The program, which will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will air live on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
