Barbra Streisand has revealed that she cloned her beloved dog, Samantha... twice!

In an interview just published in Variety Magazine, the legendary performer revealed that had cell samples removed from Samantha before she passed away. Samantha, a Cotons du Tulear, passed away last May at the age of 14.

Well, now Barbra has two clones. Her new dogs, named Miss Violet and Miss Scarlet, were cloned using Samantha's cell samples.

Barbra has a sense of humor about the news too. In fact, the Funny Girl star even joked with Variety that they should title her photo shoot “Send in the Clones.”

In reflecting on the loss of Samantha, the 75-year old star told the Associated Press that losing Samantha was like losing a child.

“She was at every performance... It was kind of awful," Streisand said in an interview last fall

Curious how expensive the process for cloning a pet would be? Reporting from USA Today estimates that the process could cost between $25,000 and $100,000.
