Saturday Night Live is in the middle of an amazing run of incredible ratings these past few seasons, but the show has made a slight change.

Colin Jost and Michael Che, who are currently anchoring the show's "Weekend Update" segment, have been named two of the show's new co-head writers. They join current head writers Kent Sublette and Bryan Tucker

Che's promotion makes him the first black co-head writer on the program, which is currently in its 43rd season. Jost has previously served as a head writer for the program from 2014 to 2015. He left the role to focus on "Weekend Update." Che and Jost have co-anchored "Weekend Update" since 2014.

Tomorrow's episode (December 16), which serves as the program's winter finale, will be hosted by Kevin Hart. The Foo Fighters are the musical guest.

NBC's Saturday Night Live airs live in all four time zones at 11:35 pm ET on Saturdays.
