Upcoming Hurricane Harvey Telethon to Feature a Ton of Star Power

A star-studded telethon fundraiser for the victims of Hurricane Harvey will be hitting television screens in a few weeks, according to reports.

The broadcast, which is slated for September 12, will air on the major television networks for one hour. That is pretty short for a broadcast of this magnitude, so we’re not sure how much time there will be for performances during the show.

We do know, however, that there will be plenty of star power attached to the broadcast. The show will be broadcast from New York, Los Angeles, and Nashville.

TMZ reports that Reese Witherspoon and Blake Shelton will serve as the program’s Nashville hosts. Texas natives Jamie Foxx and Hilary Duff are likely to be in Los Angeles, and Michael Strahan will spearhead the program in New York.

Other Houston natives who are likely to be involved in the project include Kelly Rowland (Destiny’s Child) and Jim Parsons (Big Bang Theory).
