WATCH: ABC Releases First Trailer for 'Roseanne' Reboot

March 5, 2018

Oscar Sunday is often known as “Hollywood’s Biggest Night,” but for ABC-TV, it also marked a big night for one of the network's most anticipated releases.

ABC used the highly watched telecast for the Academy Awards to air the first trailer for its revival of Roseanne.

The Conner family is all there in the clip that was released on Sunday. In the minute-long clip, we see Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, and Sara Gilbert all reprise their roles.

Fans of the show will laugh at the joke Dan Conner makes when he asks: “Why does everyone always think I’m dead?” Of course, that line is a flashback to the show's original finale, where it was revealed that Dan Conner had died of a heart attack. The revival will "ignore" that storyline.

Yes, even the show’s “original Becky,” portrayed by Lecy Goranson, appeared in the clip. The series' "replacement Becky," Sarah Chalke, will have a "new" role in the show. Meanwhile, Michael Fishman (D.J. Conner) is not seen in the trailer, but he is a part of the series revival.

Roseanne will return to ABC on March 27 with a special one-hour premiere at 8pm ET/PT. The show will then air in its regular time slot on Tuesdays at 8pm ET/PT, starting on April 3.
