It’s safe to say that last night was the biggest night of Carlos Correa's life.

The star shortstop helped the Houston Astros win the World Series, the first in the 55-year history of the franchise. However, the magical evening for the 23-year-old from Puerto Rico did not stop there.

Yes, Correa dropped to one knee during live TV interview to propose to his girlfriend, Daniella Rodriguez.

Correa originally planned on proposing after Tuesday night’s game, but delayed the proposal after the Los Angeles Dodgers won that game. Yahoo! reports that Correa's teammates were even aware of his big plan for a few days.

"I've been thinking about it for months now, but I was waiting for the perfect opportunity, you know. I knew we had a great team, we could accomplish this, and I wasn't wrong,” he said.

Rodriguez certainly what winning on a big stage feels like, by the way. The 22-year-old was crowned Miss Texas for the 2016 Miss USA pageant.

We were wondering, however, did the baseball player carry the ring onto the field for the final inning? That definitely could be a little dangerous, right?

Don’t worry. Correa’s new fiancée told Yahoo! that Carlos left the ring with one of the clubhouse attendants during Thursday night's game. The ring was brought to the field AFTER their victory.
