September 29, 2017

Irish pop rockers The Script had a ton of success earlier this decade, but then they seemingly disappeared. So what happened?

The band, which is compromised of lead vocalist and keyboardist Danny O'Donoghue, lead guitarist Mark Sheehan, and drummer Glen Power, had quickly released four albums, and those albums had a done of success with tracks like "Breakeven" and "For the First Time." So it was pretty surprising when the band went on hiatus in 2015.

We caught up with the guys to get true story behind their break from music. They explained more about the reasoning behind their break from the music scene, including the truth about an unexpected medical condition that could have cost the band's lead singer his singing voice.

Danny explains more in the exclusive interview below:

They just returned to the music scene with the release of their fifth studio album, Feedom Child. The album is available for purchase right now by clicking here

"It was a well-needed break for us to come back to this refreshed, recharged, and ready to go again," O'Donoghue says. "That's why we're back now with a brand new sound, a brand new album, Freedom Child, and ready to take the world again."
