Get in loser. We're going to Broadway.

It's official: The Mean Girls musical WILL open on Broadway after the show finishes a short run in Washington, D.C. The play's D.C. run begins on October 31 at the National Theater. It will close about a month later on December 3.

The musical was written by the film's original writer (and SNL star), Tina Fey. Her husband, Jeff Richmond, wrote the music for the show. Saturday Night Live's Lorne Michaels is even credited as a producer on the show.

The Broadway show in New York will begin in previews for audiences on March 12. The musical will officially open at the August Wilson Theater on April 8.

The show's three leading actresses are featured in the promo video that was just releaed for the show's D.C. run. We get to see Taylor Louderman as Regina George, Ashley Park as Gretchen Weiners and Kate Rockwell as Karen Smith. It's not uncommon for actors to follow a show from a preview to Broadway, but casting for the New York City version has not been officially annouced.

Tickets for the show's New York run will go on sale October 3rd. Oh, we love the irony!

In the meantime, if you score tickets to a Wednesday show, don't forget to wear pink.
