Sam Smith is back, and he is sharing an intimate look into a broken heart on his latest single, "Too Good at Goodbyes." In fact, we're over in awe at the power of this track that we all can relate to in some way.

Smith released the ballad earlier this month, and the music video dropped today (September 18). It is his first release since 2015's "The Writing's on The Wall," which was written for for the James Bond Spectre film.

"Too Good at Goodbyes" offers a real glimpse into a heartbreak that Smith says he experienced.

"I'm never gonna let you close to me/Even though you mean the most to me/'Cause every time I open up, it hurts," he sings.

Sam has already said in interviews that the song is about him and about a relationship that he was in previously.

The 25-year-old British singer admits he is "very, very single" right now, but says that his personal life served as an inspiration for some of the tracks on his upcoming album. In fact, he revealed that about four songs on the album are about his personal life.

When can we expect the full album? Sam says it should be released "before Christmas."

In the mean time, we'll just be over here crying over our lost loves too, Sam.
