80% Of Hiring Managers Say One Simple Gesture Increases Your Chances Of Getting The Job
January 23, 2018

So you’ve spent hours perfecting that resumé and finally landed that interview. You met with the manager and everything went well...now what?
Over 300 HR managers were surveyed and 80% of them say that sending a follow-up email or thank-you note increases your chances of getting hired. However, only 24% of people do it, a 51% decrease from just 10 years ago. When asked how to do it, most HR managers said a quick email thanking them is just fine.
Do NOT try to get fancy, though! At least half of managers say they hate phone calls, and 95% of them say sending a follow-up text message is unprofessional.
