A Quarter Of People Admit They're "Almost Constantly" Online

October 15, 2020

My phone is almost never outside of arm's reach...if I could glue it to my hand I probably would! The world practically runs through our smartphones; almost 75% of Americans go online at least once a day, whether it's with our phones, computers or tablets.

How much time do you spend online these days? According to a poll conducted by the Pew Research Center, 43% of Americans check the Internet several times a day. Meanwhile, 26% say they're online "almost constantly."

I'm definitely in the constantly online crowd, but what exactly does "several times a day" mean? The fact that there's so many websites and apps that can blow up your phone with near-constant notifications, it seems nearly impossible to only check the web several times.

On a side note, there really are people out there who still don't use the internet (aka my grandparents)...11% say they don't get online at all.
