Maybe some people more specifically your spouse think it's ridiculous for you to hold on to some of your old toys from the 80's. They are packed away in a tote in your garage or maybe they are boxed up in your attic. It seems every few years you are asked: "why do you still have those old toys?"

Now you have an answer that will give you all the validation in the World. Many of the action figures and toys we played with as children in the 80's are actually worth a lot of money. Of course, their worth is dependent on their condition. If they've been heavily used and look like a hot mess, you likely won't make much. But if you have some of these items and they are still in the box or in near new condition, well today's your lucky day!

Here's a list of just a few of the ones fetching the most money!

1. Teddy Ruxpin: Do you know I never had one of these? This was one of the toys I always wanted, but for some reason didn't get. If you have one that is in an unopened box and in mint condition, it could be worth $1000!

2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: They came out in 1987 and were a huge hit. If you have them they can be worth anywhere from $500-$5000 depending on their consition.

3. Jem and the Holograms: I had all of these, but gave them to someone else when I grew out of them. Boo! Depending on condition again, they can be worth up to $700!

4. G.I. Joe USS Flag: G.I Joe was so cool, I even played with him and had some of his figures. If you have one in good condition, the price starts at about $1000.

Still available. $1200 firm. Pickup in Cincinnati OH. 99.9% Complete w bright box and very rare hasbro factory outer box shipper. Missing handgun for #admiralkeelhaul and stickers could use to be replaced. One very minor broken tab. #gijoe #ussflagg #aircraftcarrier #vintagetoys #80stoys

5. He-Man and Battle Cat two-pack: He-Man was the man. Again, this was a boy's toy that I even loved to play with although they did have a girl's line of He-Man called Shera! If you have the rare two-pack, they are still in the package, and in mint condition you can get well over $4000!

The list of toys goes on and on too! Check out more of the toys you may have from your childhood here and see how much they could be worth.
