Baby Names In Danger Of Being Extinct In 2017

April 5, 2017

Every three months or so there's a new story out about baby names and trends. It's usually something to do with hot new baby names or the one's that are forecasted to be the biggest of the year. Over the years baby names have been impacted by pop culture and other trending things.

And with all these new names means that some more traditional first names could soon be extinct.

Babycenter has predicted what the top names of the year will be for both boys and girls. Some names that made the list are Emma, Olivia, and Ava for the girls. And Liam, Noah, and Mason for boys.

Now let's see if your name is on the list of baby names that are disappearing.

There are 36 names that have yet to be registered according to Babycenter for 2017 which means no one has given their child these first names. Here are a few:

1. Angela

2. Debra

3. Carol

4. Dean

5. Dennis

6. Geoffrey

7. Maureen

8. Roy

9. Sandra

10. Wayne

I guess all things must come to an end and for these names, the end seems to be near. But they could come back like some of the horrific fashion trends of the 70's and 80's we've seen in the past.
