Boy's Plea About Being Bullied Goes Viral
When will the bullying stop?
Where you bullied as a child in school? I was and it was hard to handle and understand. For me, the bullying became really unbearable in 5th grade after my mother had passed away. I was picked on throughout elementary school for wearing glasses and being overweight, but I had become used to being called fat and four-eyes. Once my mother passed away though, the kids really became evil. They accused me of pulling the plug on her life support to get all of her money. I don't even know why they'd say that because my mother wasn't on life support, we were on welfare, and I wasn't there when she passed away.
Maybe that's just how 10 and 11-year-olds deal with something they cannot comprehend like the death of a parent? Sadly, bullying is only getting worse for young children, teens, and even adults. Social media and the internet has opened people up to be victimized online in a whole new manner that can cause even more torture.
One Tennessee boy is going viral for his video talking about how he's being bullied at school.
Keaton Jones, a Knoxville middle schooler, shared his story with his mother who posted the video of her child's plea on Facebook.
Keaton's mom Kimberly Jones shared this message on Facebook with the video. “My kids are by no stretch perfect, and at home, he’s as all boy as they come, but by all accounts he’s good at school. Talk to your kids. I’ve even had friends of mine tell me kids were only nice to him to get him to mess with people. We all know how it feels to want to belong, but only a select few know how it really feels not to belong anywhere.”
The video has over 20 million views and it's quickly growing. It's being shared and reshared and it's even getting celebrity attention. If you look on twitter you will see that #StandWithKeaton is trending.
“Courage is fire, and bullying is smoke.” Stay strong Keaton, you’re a very brave young man and a lot of great folks have your back. @Lakyn_Jones if there is anything we can do for Keaton, please let us know. #StandWithKeaton #StopBullying

So what can you do to stop bullying? It starts with parents talking to their children about bullying and how to treat and respect other people and their differences.
To help #prevent #bullying #parents can ask a child: what do you usually do when you see bullying going on? And why do you think people bully? #stopbullying https://t.co/JdiW0Z4oNb pic.twitter.com/YUC9ZguQhw
