Chester Bennington: Was this February Interview A Cry for Help?

July 26, 2017

In the days since the suicide death of Linkin Park's Chester Bennington, many people have been asking if there was a cry for help that may have been missed.

He would found dead in his home last Thursday after he hanged himself. Bennington shared his struggles with depression and addiction and often wrote songs about what he was experiencing. Now an interview from this past February is going viral because many people are now seeing this as his cry for help.

But then he went and bought his family a new home in June and seemed to be planning and thinking about the future. We may never know his true motivations on that dark day last week. Did depression get the best of him? Did the birthday of one of his closest friends, the late Chris Cornell, trigger something?

The guys from Linkin Park recorded this song for one of their friends who passed away from cancer and now it's being used as a tribute to Chester worldwide.
