Last week I shared some bad news for people who drank a lot of coffee daily. But as you know, every other week or so, there's a new study on the health benefits or issues drinking coffee can give a person!

The study I found last week revealed that the more coffee you drink per day the dumber you'd be. The study was conducted on college students and the more they drank the lower their GPA. If you're drinking lots of coffee you may be dumber, but you'll live longer according to the newest study!

People who drank coffee, no matter how much or what kind they drank, were less likely to die over that 10-year period than non-coffee drinkers, they reported in the Journal of the American Medical Association’s JAMA Internal Medicine.

And people who drank a lot of coffee as in eight cups per day still had the same results!

Spanish researchers shared their findings at the European Society of Cardiology Congress and it's great news if you drink multiple cups of coffee per day! The study found participants who drank at least four cups of coffee a day had a 64% lower risk of death than those who never or almost never drank coffee.

"Our findings suggest that drinking four cups of coffee each day can be part of a healthy diet in healthy people," said Dr. Adela Navarro, a cardiologist at Hospital de Navarra, in a statement.

And if you're 45 or older the study also found that drinking two additional cups of coffee gave you a 30% lower risk of death!
