The dating world seems to get more and more bizarre as the years go by. Twenty years ago we were a lot more picky about who we'd date, and now it seems that we've loosened up a lot.

There should be a lot of deal breakers in dating. Things like criminal records, bad hygiene, the fact that someone is married should be huge red flags. But sadly, people are more accepting of these things.

A lot of people have ventured online to find love. In fact, there are an estimated more than 1,500 online dating sites. Today there seems to be an online dating site for everyone! Twenty percent of couples in a recent survey were in a committed relationship that started online, and according to the Pew Research Center, 59% of Americans now consider online dating a good way to meet people.

A new study is looking at online dating and deal breakers. And the findings are crazy...seriously CRAZY!! Things that you'd think would make people want to run far, far away are now more acceptable. Have we become desperate?

You'd think that finding out someone is a convicted murderer would be a huge turn-off, but that's not that case for some daters. 17% of men and 10% of women say they'd date someone who was convicted of murder. 3% of men and 2% of women would do it no questions asked. 14% of men and 8% of women would need a reasonable explanation. My mind is blown, seriously!

As for dating someone who's married, that too is not off the table for a decent amount of people. 32% of men and 23% of women would date someone who's married.

58% of men say it's not a deal breaker if the woman had a DUI. Women, on the other hand, were a bit pickier, but still, 48% would be a-ok with this.

16% of men and 12% of women would date someone convicted of ATTEMPTED murder. What the what?!?!?

I used to be that girl that ignored all of the blazing red flags and well I dated a lot of unsavory men. Thankfully, I am now older and wiser and not blind when it comes to red flags.
