Did This Weather Channel Reporter Fake This Weather Report?

Not cool, dude!

I am sure over the last week or so you likely tuned into The Weather Channel to see Jim Cantore or one of their other famous reporters getting blown around by the winds of Hurricane Florence. I know I watched a lot of the weather channel. Some people binge-watch Netflix, I binge on the Weather Channel when there's some huge storm.

Well, there's one report that has gone viral because many people seem to think that the reporter was faking the extreme conditions. Mike Seidel was on-camera and struggling to keep his balance against the winds, but then two guys walk by behind him with no problems. Hmmmm?

Here's the video in question.

The Weather Channel has since issued a statement. “It’s important to note that the two individuals in the background are walking on concrete, and Mike Seidel is trying to maintain his footing on wet grass, after reporting on-air until 1:00 a.m. ET this morning and is undoubtedly exhausted.” I do not doubt that he is exhausted, but the grass part of the story seems a bit over the top. But then again, what do I know? I am not a professional meteorologist that goes out in conditions like this to report to the World.
