Did you know that the divorce rate has dropped significantly over the past few years? Do you know why? Millennials!

So if you're a divorce lawyer or work in some kind of business related to divorces, if your business is slowing down it's because of millennials.

Why are there fewer divorces? Does this mean millennials aren't getting married as much as people in past generations? No, but they are pickier when it comes to their committed relationships.

According to research, divorce rates dropped 18% between 2008 and 2016. Millennials are waiting until they are older to get married. They are putting education, career, and their finances before they are taking the plunge. And marriage rates are lower too because again, people aren't getting married young. In contrast, though, older people aged 55 to 64's divorce rate doubled and those over 65 tripled.

Millennials get blamed for killing a lot of things like malls, chain restaurants, and now divorce. People may be upset about some of the things that millennials are allegedly destroying, but I think we can all appreciate them accounting for a lower divorce rate in this country.
