Drinking Up to 25 Cups of Coffee Still Considered Safe

That's a lot of coffee!

June 3, 2019

How much coffee do you drink per day? I bet it's nowhere near 25 cups of coffee a day!

That seems like a ton of coffee and caffeine, right? And you probably think drinking that much coffee would be bad for you? According to the newest research, it's still considered safe for your heart!

I feel like we get new information on coffee and what is considered healthy and what experts consider harmful for our health every few months. It becomes almost too hard to keep up with honestly.

If you love coffee and drink it all throughout the day, this study will make you feel a lot better.

The research was conducted by the British Heart Foundation and it found that people who drink up to 25 cups of coffee per day do not run a greater risk for a heart attack! After looking at the heart scans of 8,412 people, it had “debunked” previous studies linking coffee to poor heart health.

There were three groups of people in the study: people who drink less than a cup per day, people who drink between one and three cups, and people who drink over three cups per day. Wait, so that means they didn't actually have people drink 25 cups of coffee and look at their scans? That's right. The study found “no increased stiffening of arteries was associated with those who drank up to this high limit.”

Can you imagine drinking 25 cups of coffee in a single day? I would never be able to sleep if I drank that much. Plus, I tend to feel too hyped up if I have three cups of coffee throughout my morning. I like my coffee super strong though so maybe that has something to do with it.
