Ed Sheeran Is Taking a Stand Against Twitter Trolls

July 5, 2017

Nobody is immune to internet trolls and online bullying. Celebrities and people in the public eye sometimes seem to take the brunt of it because people feel like they can say whatever they want about the person because they are famous. But famous and semi-famous people have feelings too.

If you've been on Twitter you may see Ed Sheeran's Twitter account still posting things, but he's not actually on Twitter. He has his Instagram account linked to his Twitter feed.

In a recent interview, he said he's "actually come off Twitter completely. I can’t read it." Apparently, all of the negative comments people were writing about him starting to bother him so he's taking a stand. He didn't delete Twitter all together, but won't be actively participating like he once did.

It's pretty common for celebrities to take a little social media break. Celebs like Lady Gaga, Adele, and more have taken a step back after they were constantly being berated by Twitter trolls.
