Have you noticed an increase in Salmonella outbreaks lately? Recently items like romaine lettuce, Sugar Smacks cereal, pre-cut melon, and now Pepperidge Farms Goldfish crackers

And Salmonella is pretty common. The CDC estimates Salmonella causes about 1.2 million illnesses, 23,000 hospitalizations, and 450 deaths in the United States every year.

Now Pepperidge Farms is doing a voluntary recall of some of its crackers because the whey powder used in flavoring them was recalled over potential salmonella contamination. If you want to protect yourself and your family, check your pantry for these four flavors of Goldfish crackers. The recalled flavors include Flavor Blasted Xtra Cheddar, Flavor Blasted Sour Cream & Onion, Goldfish Baked with Whole Grain Xtra Cheddar, and Goldfish Mix Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel.

No illnesses have been reported yet, this is just all precautionary!
