Kesha has gone through a lot over the last few years. Her career nearly ended because of her legal battle with Dr. Luke who Kesha alleged drugged and raped her in 2005. The legal war started in October 2014 and went on for three years before Kesha was finally released from her contract with Dr. Luke and allowed to make new music.

She released her latest album Rainbow after all of the drama using some of what she experienced as inspiration for songs like "Praying" which came out last July.

And now Kesha is also releasing a documentary. It will document Kesha’s creative process during the making of her Rainbow album, amidst her legal battle. “Sometimes things feel like, like they’re too much to handle,” she explains in a voice over. “You may be able to pull it together and put on a front in front of others. But inside you’re trapped, suffocating slowly."

“I hope this film inspires others to never give up even if you feel full of hurt or lost, because after the storm comes a rainbow," she adds. "Depression, anxiety and mental illness are things we all need to talk about more, and there is no shame in asking for help. Making the decision to work on yourself is the bravest thing you can do. I hope this film helps bring light and love to everyone.”

Wow! That looks like it's going to be so good. I have chills.

You can see the entire documentary, Rainbow -The Film, August 10th on Apple Music. Kesha will also be here tomorrow with Macklemore at PNC Music Pavillion
