You felt that electricity between Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper when they performed "Shallow" from A Star Is Born earlier this year on stage at the Oscars right? The way they looked at each other. Their body language. Everything made it seem like they were madly in love with one another.

Remember all of the rumors that went around after it too? People were alleging that they had an affair, but that was just a rumor. After Bradley and his girlfriend/baby momma announced their split shortly after the performance even more people were talking and hoping that Gaga and Cooper would just get together. I may have also been one of those people secretly hoping they'd become the next big celebrity couple and live happily ever after.

It's been more than 8 months since their performance and now Lady Gaga is setting the record straight.

She's on the cover of December's Elle Magazine and sat down for an interview with Oprah

Gaga admits the only way they were actually able to pull off that kind of performance was because the romance rumors were untrue. "We wanted people to feel that love at the Oscars. We wanted it to go right through the lens of that camera and to every television." She adds that appearing loved-up was easier said than done. "We worked hard on it, we worked for days. We mapped the whole thing out. It was orchestrated as a performance," she says "When we talked about it, we went, 'Well, I guess we did a good job!'"

Yes, you did a really good job!
