Local Nail Salon Puts Weight Limit On Pedicures

June 14, 2017

If you've ever been overweight or obese, you know there are a lot of things that have weight limits on them like elevators, horseback riding, and skydiving. You also know a lot of activities have size limitations to them like riding a roller coaster at the amusement park.

I thought there was nothing worse than getting stuck in a roller coaster seat/harness when I was 350 pounds back in the day. If I could have dug a hole and hidden, I would have. I suppose I should have known better or tried the test seat they had at the entrance to the line.

Imagine going in to have a nice, relaxing pedicure and being denied because of your weight.  Yikes, right? It happened in Lincoln County at a Denver nail salon.

WSOC-TV interviewed the woman and the salon owner, who denied the woman service because he said she'd break the chair.

Remember last year when a nail salon was charging overweight people extra for pedicures? That story and shop went viral and it wasn't good for their business.
