Money Can Buy Happiness After All

July 25, 2017

Money can't buy happiness or so we have been taught. But now science is telling us otherwise!

You're probably thinking that the more material things you have the happier you are, but that's not what the study found. It doesn't matter if you are wealthy or poor, having money to do this one thing can make you happier. Any guesses?

Think about the things you don't really enjoy doing like cleaning the house, folding laundry, and maybe cooking meals. I bet you could find a million and one things you'd rather do with that time than do that tedious task! The study found that those people who paid others to do the things they didn't enjoy, were a lot happier. They were able to have more free time to do the things they really love.

“People across the income spectrum benefited from buying time,” the researchers wrote.

So if you can swing it, pay someone else to clean your house. Although you will have less money, you will be happier in the long run!
