Monopoly is one of my favorite board games. There are so many different versions of the game for different cities, younger kids, and even milliennials.

Today Hasbro announced their newest version of the game, Ms. Monopoly. In this game women will make more and start with more money than men.

The game was created to bring about awareness for the gender pay gap between men and women. "With all of the things surrounding female empowerment, it felt right to bring this to Monopoly in a fresh new way," Boswinkel said. “It’s giving the topic some relevancy to everyone playing it that everybody gets a turn, and this time women get an advantage at the start.”

Women will start the game with $1900 instead of the standard $1500 and make $240 every time they pass Go!

Players won't be investing in real estate in this game. Instead they will invest in innovations made by women, including chocolate chip cookies, bulletproof vests, solar heating and ladies’ modern shapewear. Players will also see rideshares instead of railroads and wi-fi instead of the utility Water Works.

It's available for pre-order now at Walmart.com for $19.99. What do you think of the new version of the game?
