New Snap Chat Feature Catches Cheaters

June 30, 2017

Did you know today is actually National Social Media Day? To celebrate, I am going to tell you and maybe even warn you about a new feature on Snap Chat that rolled out with the APPs latest update.

I have a Snap Chat account but don't use it as much as I use Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. And now maybe with their new Snap Maps feature, I may not want to use the APP at all. The new feature essentially allows you to see all of your followers on a Map so you can track their location at all times. So what's the big deal?

Well, where do I begin? It makes stalking someone much easier. Although if you aren't friends with someone anymore hopefully you've blocked them so they cannot track you. Aside from stalking, if you're a shady ass person doing something you shouldn't do like cheating on your spouse or significant other, well getting caught is now easier than ever.

Over the last few days, I have seen numerous stories about people getting busted cheating because of Snap Maps.

Here's the good news, you have to give the APP permission to share your location with all of your friends, chosen friends, or you can be in ghost mode so no one can see you.

So if you're cheating on someone or going to places you shouldn't be, definitely make sure you have ghost mode on. You've been warned.
