A house is not a home without a pet, or so I believe. There have been countless studies that show the many health benefits of owning a pet including helping us live a longer life.

If you ask pet owners, the majority will tell you that having a pet makes them happier. Pets offer us companionship and can be there for us when we are going through a hard time. According to the new study that polled 1000 pet owners and 1000 non-pet owners over the age of 55, the people with pet owners were twice as likely to consider themselves a success.

What else did the study find? Pet owners make more money per year, to be married, have a child, get a college degree, and have found their perfect job.

So what are you waiting for? If you need a few good reasons to have a pet, I just gave them to you.
