Ever notice that the Holiday season only gets more and more expensive every year? It's not just you. This year a Christmas Tree shortage means that if you're planning to have a real tree that you will end up spending significantly more. People are also spending more on holiday decorations this year as well.

If you're a parent and you plan on taking the kids for their photos with Santa at the mall, get ready to spend more too. It's probably a Holiday tradition in your family to go have the kids sit on the big man's lap and tell them what they want this year before getting an adorable photo.

Some Santa's even require online reservations to even see them. Retailers are seeing the demand for pictures with Santa and taking full advantage of our holiday traditions. In Cherry Hill, New Jersey, you can buy a fast-pass like you would at an amusement park to get to the front of the line quicker. It will set you back $24.99, but also includes some photos and personalized phone calls from Santa too.

Locally, you can get your photo with Santa at the Southpark Mall starting at $24.99. If you're a parent on a budget or a parent with a few kids, this can add up. Thankfully, there are plenty of places in Charlotte where you can snap some pics with Santa for free

Santa will be at Holiday on Ice Charlotte this Saturday during the day and you can get free photos with him there.
