Math is not my thing. I remember taking Algebra in high school, and the teacher moved so quickly I was lost. I ended up in a remedial Algebra I/Algebra II hybrid class the next year and did so well because the teacher thoroughly explained everything.

If I were good at math or loved doing Math, I would have likely become a doctor. That's what I wanted to be initially, but once I saw how much I struggled with Math and Science, I chose my other love, radio.

Unfortunately, working in radio does not give me a pass from using Math. I use it every day, but it's easy math. If you struggle like I do and would like to be better at math a new study may have a trick for you. The research just came out of Stevens Institute of Technology, and it found that this one scent could boost your performance with math.

What is it? You may have some sitting right next to you right now! It's coffee!

We already know that coffee has a lot of health benefits and it can also improve our mood. Now, this new study has found that just the scent of coffee alone may help people perform better on the analytical portion of the Graduate Management Aptitude Test, or GMAT, a computer adaptive test required by many business schools. They also found that smelling coffee makes a person think they will perform better too!

God Bless Coffee and all its amazingness.
