'SNL' Spoofs Kendall Jenner Pepsi Commercial

April 10, 2017

Did you happen to see Saturday Night Live this weekend? If you missed it like I did, you missed some pretty entertaining skits.

Last week everyone was offended by the Pepsi commercial featuring Kendall Jenner. There was so much outrage that Pepsi decided to pull the commercial. If you didn't see it, I've reshared it below.

The SNL spoof starts off with Beck Bennett playing the writer behind the ad being told by multiple people that the idea behind the commercial was a terrible one! Cecily Strong plays that part of Kendall. Just watch below.

“This is a global ad that reflects people from different walks of life coming together in a spirit of harmony, and we think that’s an important message to convey.” That was Pepsi's original statement about the commercial when people were up in arms. But enough people complained, and they finally decided to pull it.

“Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace, and understanding. Clearly, we missed the mark, and we apologize,” it said in a statement. “We did not intend to make light of any serious issue. We are removing the content and halting any further rollout. We also apologize for putting Kendall Jenner in this position.”
