'Star Wars' Fans Luckier In Love?

May 4, 2017

Did you know today is Star Wars Day? I bet you did because you cannot scroll through social media without seeing 8 billion 'May the fourth be with you' memes!

Truth be told, I just saw the original Star Wars movie for the first time a few weeks ago. I had no interest in seeing it, although many men tried to get me to watch it. Finally, a guy I was seeing convinced me to give it a try.

Perhaps my lack of love for Star Wars is partially why I am so damn unlucky in love? I know that seems insane, but there's a new study that proves that fans of Star Wars are a  lot luckier in love than those that don't love it.

If you are doing the whole online dating thing using one of the million and one APPs, just mentioning Star Wars in your profile means you will get more matches or swipes. Plenty of Fish, the only online dating site I am currently using, conducted the research. The results are actually insane. There are over 13 million profiles on POF, BTW. If your's happens to mention the famous movie under your interests section you are 61% more likely to find a relationship.

Well, if you need me this weekend I will be watching every single one of the movies so I can add it to my interest portion of my dating profile.
